Hobbs Parker are a well-established multi-disciplinary firm of Chartered Surveyors, Planners, Auctioneers and Estate Agents based in Ashford, Kent. We operate one of the largest livestock markets in the South East, in addition to a successful car auction business, a well-established estate and letting agency and a highly regarded property consultancy business. You will act as an ambassador for the firm, promoting its services when opportunities arise.

The Role

Are you a Rural Surveyor looking for a new challenge? We are looking to appoint a qualified or senior rural surveyor to work alongside our existing team. You will advise a diverse range of clients to help them manage and enhance their property assets.

Key responsibilities:

Valuation – you will help to drive the growth of our existing valuation team, completing reports for rural and agricultural property for a variety of purposes.
Compulsory purchase and compensation – advising clients with claims involving utilities and infrastructure schemes.
Environmental schemes – advising clients on the latest environmental and grant schemes and submitting applications.
Planning and Development – opportunity to work alongside our team of planning consultants and gain experience within our successful development consultancy team.
Agency – an opportunity to be involved in the sale and purchase of farms and land.
Build relationships with new and existing clients and other rural professionals to help drive the growth of the business and your own portfolio.

About You

You will have:

A MRCIS qualification (RICS Register valuer preferred).
Experience in advising clients on a range of rural property matters.
Strong communication and client relationship skills.
A full clean UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

There is scope within the business to develop your career for the longer term.

The role will involve travel and therefore a full driving licence and own vehicle is essential.
