Stanford Hall Rehabilitation Estate is a unique rural estate with an exceptional purpose. Set within beautiful parkland, the Estate is home to both the UK’s Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre and one of the first NHS National Rehabilitation Centres. The peaceful landscape and extensive grounds form an integral part of the rehabilitation journey, providing a tranquil environment alongside specialist outdoor rehabilitation facilities.

Acquired in 2011, the Estate has been carefully managed to support these complementary rehabilitation centres while preserving the character and environmental value of its historic parkland. The Charity is part of Grosvenor Estates, benefiting from central HR, IT and Finance support while managing the Estate locally.

Following the decision to bring estate management back in-house, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Estate Assistant to support the day-to-day management of this distinctive rural estate.

The Role

The Estate Assistant will provide support across a broad range of estate management activities, including:

· Managing two let residential properties and let parkland

· Support with woodland and ecology management

· Helping to develop the Estate’s GIS/Mapping systems (an ARC GIS based system is currently being built)

· Assisting with estate maintenance, lease management

· Building relationships with the Ministry of Defence and the NHS

· Providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the Estate Office

About You

We are looking for an organised and proactive person who can work independently. You will have an interest in rural estate management, and experience working within an estate office or rural property environment, with an understanding of property management, landlord and tenant matters, woodlands and GIS mapping systems.

Flexible Working

This is a part-time role and working hours can be tailored to suit the successful candidate, with flexibility around school hours and school holidays. The role may particularly appeal to someone with previous estate office experience who is looking to remain professionally engaged while balancing family commitments, or to someone seeking a flexible route back into the rural property profession.
