An exciting opportunity for an ambitious, motivated and forward-thinking Estate Manager to join the in-house team on the Dallam Tower Estate.
With a heritage dating back to the 1500’s, this picturesque, privately owned Estate is grounded in traditional values while taking a modern and innovative approach. The Estate encompasses a diverse range of assets, including let farms, residential and commercial property, forestry, a deer park, caravan park and visitor enterprises, sporting interests, renewable energy projects and development opportunities.
Location
Located on the southern edge of the Lake District, in an exceptionally beautiful part of the countryside, the Estate extends across a diverse and scenic landscape of parkland, farmland, woodland and coastline. Around half lies within the Arnside & Silverdale National Landscape, an area recognised for its outstanding natural beauty.
Major Projects and Opportunities
The role offers the opportunity to play a key role in a number of significant projects and initiatives across the Estate, including:
- Helping to develop and implement the Estate's five and ten-year vision.
- Progressing a number of commercial development opportunities.
- Leading on major heritage restoration and historic building projects.
- Supporting innovative environmental, landscape and water management initiatives.
- Representing the Estate through its involvement with the Arnside & Silverdale National Landscape.
- Developing further renewable energy and diversification opportunities.
- Managing significantmineral and natural resource interests.
- Supporting the future development of the Estate's sporting and visitor enterprises.
Working closely with the owners and the wider professional team, the position offers significant breadth and responsibility within a supportive and collaborative estate environment. The role provides the opportunity to take a proactive and entrepreneurial approach to estate management, with scope to bring forward new ideas and contribute to the continued diversification and development of the Estate.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate the following attributes. Applications are also encouraged from individuals with relevant experience and the potential and capability to develop further within the role.
- MRICS and/or CAAV qualified, with a proven track record in the management of rural estates with significant commercial activities.
- An engaging and friendly character, with strong people skills, able to lead by example and build effective relationships with tenants, stakeholders and the broader community.
- Commercially and financially astute, with a keen eye for both maximising revenue opportunities and day to day operational effectiveness.
- Able to identify, scope out and deliver key projects on time and within budget, alongside the demands of a varied estate management role.
- Motivated by the opportunity to make a positive impact on the local environment and community.
