Hobbs Parker are a well-established multi-disciplinary firm of Chartered Surveyors, Planners, Auctioneers and Estate Agents based in Ashford, Kent. We operate one of the largest livestock markets in the South East, in addition to a successful car auction business, a well-established estate and letting agency and a highly regarded property consultancy business. You will act as an ambassador for the firm, promoting its services when opportunities arise.
The Role
Are you a Rural Surveyor looking for a new challenge? We are looking to appoint a qualified or senior rural surveyor to work alongside our existing team. You will advise a diverse range of clients to help them manage and enhance their property assets.
Key responsibilities:
- Valuation – you will help to drive the growth of our existing valuation team, completing reports for rural and agricultural property for a variety of purposes.
- Compulsory purchase and compensation – advising clients with claims involving utilities and infrastructure schemes.
- Environmental schemes – advising clients on the latest environmental and grant schemes and submitting applications.
- Planning and Development – opportunity to work alongside our team of planning consultants and gain experience within our successful development consultancy team.
- Agency – an opportunity to be involved in the sale and purchase of farms and land.
- Build relationships with new and existing clients and other rural professionals to help drive the growth of the business and your own portfolio.
About You
You will have:
- A MRCIS qualification (RICS Register valuer preferred).
- Experience in advising clients on a range of rural property matters.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
- A full clean UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
There is scope within the business to develop your career for the longer term.
The role will involve travel and therefore a full driving licence and own vehicle is essential.
