Surveyor/Senior Surveyor
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, qualified rural practice surveyor to join our growing team in the Surrey Hills. You will be involved in a diverse and interesting range of rural consultancy matters including valuations, landlord and tenant matters, environmental stewardship, development, agricultural consultancy, utilities and compulsory purchase.
As well as working on existing instructions, there will be a strong emphasis on business development and growth. You will have an opportunity to identify, secure and deliver new business opportunities and develop new work streams as part of a supportive team network. We place a high emphasis on marketing, networking and winning new business. Training, mentoring and support in growing your skills within the role will be readily provided.

Salary and package
· Based in our Surrey Hills office (Unit 2, Albury Village Hall, Albury, Guildford, GU5 9AD).
· Permanent position.
· Monday-Friday 9am-5.30pm.
· 20 days holiday (increasing up to 25 days) plus bank holidays.
· Competitive salary plus discretionary bonus.

Qualifications and skills
· MRICS and preferably FAAV qualified with experience in the rural sector.
· Able to generate new work and win instructions.
· Able to provide recommendations to clients based on technical knowledge and experience.
· Strong communication and negotiation skills.
· A keen networker.
· Confident, resourceful and capable of building and maintaining good relationships with colleagues and clients.
· Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
· An affinity with and knowledge of farming, the agricultural community and rural environment is essential.
Responsibilities and duties
· Provide clients with advice across a range of rural property matters.
· Carry out property inspections and prepare RICS compliant valuation reports.
· Engage with landowners to identify and administer Rural Grant schemes.
· Assist clients with utility scheme and compulsory purchase compensation claims.
· Assist clients with agricultural tenancies and licences.
· Directly work with clients to enhance and maximise their property income.
· Day to day work advising and managing Rural estates.
Other requirements
· Must have the permanent right to work in the U.K.
· Clean full driving licence
· Use of a car.
