Following the successful merger of specialist rural practice Peter Graham & Associates with family firm Paton & Co in April 2026, we are expanding our estate management presence across Scotland.
We are seeking an experienced, proactive and practical Estate Manager with a problem-solving approach to oversee the day-to-day running of three rural estates on behalf of private clients across Moray, Deeside and Findhorn. The role will suit someone based in the north-east of Scotland who is able to travel between these areas.
This is a varied position offering the opportunity to work across estate management, farming, forestry and / or moorland operations, supported by an experienced and highly regarded professional team and administrative staff based in Elgin.
The Role Includes
- Day-to-day and strategic management of rural estate operations
- Acting as a key point of contact for owners, tenants, contractors and professional advisers
- Oversight of land, farming, forestry, and environmental activities
- Preparing management reports, budgets and operational updates for estate owners
The successful candidate will bring strong rural experience and enjoy working independently, building trusted relationships with owners and tenants, and taking a hands-on approach to estate management.

Key Requirements
- Proven experience in estate management, farming, or a rural business environment
- Strong knowledge of agriculture, forestry and/or moorland management
- Able to build relationships
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility across multiple estates
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Competence in data management and analysis of financial/operational information and producing clear reporting for estate owners.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
