Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Graduate or recently Chartered Surveyor to join a highly respected firm and to gain experience across a wide-ranging and interesting workload.
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of rural agency, with a particular emphasis on rural estate management. A significant proportion of the role will focus on lettings and property management across a varied portfolio of rural and residential properties.
Working closely with experienced chartered surveyors, the person appointed will be supported in developing practical skills and professional competence while working towards RICS chartership. Applications will also be considered from those who are part way through or who have recently completed their APC.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the management of rural estates, including farms, residential properties, and historic buildings
- Supporting day-to-day lettings and property management across a diverse portfolio
- Assisting with inspections, site visits, and condition assessments
- Supporting landlord and tenant matters, including agricultural, commercial and residential tenancies
- Assisting with valuations of agricultural, commercial and residential property
- Preparing reports and client correspondence
- Liaising with landowners, tenants, contractors, and professional advisers
- Maintaining accurate records and updating property management systems
- Ensuring compliance with professional standards, legislation, and health & safety requirements
- Actively engaging in training, learning, and professional development

Person Specification
Essential
Qualifications
- Degree in Rural Surveying, Rural Estate Management, or a related discipline (RICS-accredited or working towards accreditation)
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A basic understanding of rural property, estate management, and agriculture
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Good analytical and numeracy skills
- Full UK driving licence and own car
