Expertise grounded in the local community
At youngsRPS, we believe our work in rural property is about understanding the whole picture.
Our clients don't just come to us for a valuation, a tenancy agreement or a sale. They come to us when they have a problem to solve, an opportunity to explore or simply need someone who understands their business and can give them practical, honest advice.
That's what makes our Sedgefield team different.
We are an established rural practice with deep roots in the local area, a strong reputation among farmers, landowners and professional advisers, and have a breadth of experience that means we can deal with almost anything that comes through the door. Our local knowledge, practical approach and longstanding relationships mean we are often the first people our clients call when they need advice.
We are looking for a qualified Rural Chartered Surveyor to join our Sedgefield team.
The role
This is a genuinely varied role, with the opportunity to work across a broad range of rural surveying and land agency work.
Work will include:
- Rural valuations and Red Book valuations
- Land and property sales and acquisitions
- Landlord and tenant matters
- Compensation and utilities work
- Grants, schemes and funding
- Farm and estate management
- Renewable energy projects
- Development and diversification
- General land agency and consultancy
You'll work alongside experienced surveyors in Sedgefield and across our wider rural team the North East of England, with the support and expertise to take on a varied workload, build strong client relationships and develop your career.
Why youngsRPS?
We are proud of the relationships we have built over many years.
Our Sedgefield team has a strong local client base and an excellent reputation within the agricultural and professional community. Clients value us because we take the time to understand the situation before recommending a solution. We don't simply quote for a job and move on; we get out, look at the property and understand what is actually happening on the ground.
That practical, hands-on approach is a big part of who we are.
You will also become part of a wider business where collaboration genuinely matters. Our rural teams share knowledge and experience across offices, and we encourage people to work together, learn from one another and make sure the right person is involved in delivering the best result for the client.
Most importantly, there is room to develop.
As our business grows, so do the opportunities for our people. You will have the chance to build your own client relationships, develop areas of expertise and play an active part in growing the Sedgefield rural team.
